Balcony run with vertical screens
Vertical screens along a whole run of balconies. Guided for wind stability, so they stay down on a blustery afternoon too.
Straight down, not out
A vertical screen drops straight down in front of the glass instead of cantilevering out over the railing. On a balcony that is the difference between shading that costs you space and shading that needs none — and along a whole run, every screen ends at the same height.
What the wind decides
A freely hanging curtain starts to swing as soon as there is a draught. Lateral guidance — by cables, rails or a sewn-in zip — keeps the fabric flat even then. Which guidance a site needs is decided by the wind load, not by taste.
