Dark, insulated, quiet

Aluminium roller shutter RL 37 / RL 41 / KRL / SRL

When it really has to be dark, there is no way past a roller shutter. The closed curtain insulates as well — against cold in winter and against street noise all year.

Versions

RL 37 and RL 41 differ in profile height. KRL and SRL are the versions for the box and lintel situations that come up in renovations.

Width (bk): RL 37: min. 500 mm (gearbox) / 600 mm (motor) – max. 3,500 mm · RL 41: min. 500 mm (gearbox) / 600 mm (motor) – max. 4,000 mm The minimum width depends on the drive.
Maximum area, single: RL 37: 6.5 m² · RL 41: 8.5 m²
Maximum area, coupled: RL 37: 20 m² · RL 41: 12 m² (motor)
Retract at wind speed: RL 37: 92 km/h on small units, 38 km/h on large ones · RL 41: 92 km/h on small units, 32 km/h on large ones The speed at which the unit must be retracted depends on width, height and mounting. Wind and rain sensors reduce the risk of damage but are no guarantee against it. Responsibility rests with whoever operates the installation.

Where no box will fit

Folding roller shutter FR 41

The curtain folds instead of coiling. That needs far less room above — the answer when the lintel has nothing left to give.

For the FR 41 folding shutter we have no data sheet giving limit dimensions — Schenker's technical brochure does not list it. Dimensions and a wind resistance class stood here before without a source; they have been removed rather than asserted any further. We will give you the binding limit dimensions at the on-site measuring. What is documented is the EC declaration of conformity 003SSRLD2024 of August 2024.

Roller shutter and venetian blind in one

Rolling venetian blind SF 58 (SOLFLEX)

Rolled up like a shutter, but with slats that turn. So you can black out completely — or meter the light without opening the blind at all.
