Shutters
The shutter is the only piece of sun protection people read as part of the house itself. On a period building its shape is often not a matter of taste but a requirement.
Folding sliding shutter
The panels fold and slide aside. Open, they clear the window completely; closed, they become the façade — which is why architects like to design them in from the start.
Material
Aluminium or wood. Aluminium keeps its shape and needs no paint; wood is warmer in tone and wants attention every few years.

Sliding shutter
One panel, one track, one movement. The quietest answer when there is enough wall beside the window to park the shutter.

Hinged shutter

- On a listed building the model is often a heritage requirement, so the designation belongs in the enquiry.
Photovoltaic sliding shutter SolarSlide
A sliding shutter with integrated glass-glass photovoltaic modules. It keeps direct sun off the façade and uses the same surface to generate electricity.
Two systems
SolarSlide uses a micro-inverter in each panel and can feed up to 800 W directly into the grid or be combined into an independent photovoltaic system. SolarSlide Pro is designed for larger façade projects with higher feed-in capacity and connection to inverters and battery storage.
Designed for the façade
The frameless cell surfaces sit between two panes of glass. Satin, gloss or textured finishes and opaque or semi-transparent versions can be matched to the façade. The aluminium frame can be colour-matched.
For renovation and new build
Both versions can be operated manually or by motor and integrated into standard control systems. Detailed planning determines the fixing, electrical connection and suitable panel layout for the building.
